Happy Giftlist is a tool for creating wishlists for any occasion, such as birthdays, weddings, or holidays, and for organizing Secret Santa events.
Yes, it's completely free and will always remain so!
Click on 'Create Wishlist' in the top menu. After registering, you can start by adding a title, description, and gifts to your wishlist.
Click on 'Draw Names' in the menu. Enter the event details, including title, description, and budget, then add the names and emails of participants. Once confirmed, everyone will receive their Secret Santa via email.
Creating a wishlist or Secret Santa event only takes a few seconds to a couple of minutes.
Currently, we don't have a dedicated mobile app, but our platform is mobile-friendly and works well on smartphones and tablets.
Wishlists
No, you can create as many wishlists as you like; there is no limit.
Yes, you can edit your wishlist while logged in. Click the pencil icon at the top of your wishlist page to make changes.
Yes, you can delete a wishlist by clicking the trash icon at the top of your wishlist page while logged in.
Share your wishlist by copying the link, sharing a code that can be looked up on Happy Giftlist, or downloading a QR code. Social media buttons are also available for easy sharing.
Wishlists are public by default, meaning anyone with the link or code can access them. You can make a wishlist private by checking a box when you create it, ensuring only those with the direct link can view it.
Secret Santa
Secret Santa is a fun, anonymous gift exchange where each participant is randomly assigned another person to buy a gift for.
Click on 'Draw Names' in the menu. Enter a title, description, and budget, then add the participants' names and emails. The system will randomly assign each person someone to buy a gift for.
Yes, you can set exclusions to prevent certain people from being assigned to each other.
No, the draw cannot be redone. However, you can edit participants' names and emails. To add or remove participants, you'll need to create a new Secret Santa.
Yes! If you have an existing wishlist, you can use it for your Secret Santa, so you don’t have to add gifts in multiple places. Just select your wishlist instead of creating new gifts.
You can't sent a message directly to your Secret Santa. However, if the person you drew hasn’t added gifts to their wishlist, you’ll see a button on their wishlist to send an email reminder, prompting them to add gifts.
No, there are no limits.
Gifts
After creating a wishlist, you can manually add a gift by entering its name or the product URL. Happy Giftlist will fetch relevant details like price and image. You can also request money or a gift card using the appropriate button.
There is no limit to the number of gifts you can add.
Reserving a gift ensures that you won’t receive duplicates. However, reserving does not complete the purchase; the person reserving the gift is responsible for buying and delivering it.
No, Happy Giftlist does not track whether a reserved gift has been purchased or delivered. The person reserving the gift is responsible for these tasks.
Yes, you can edit a gift by clicking the pencil icon next to it on your wishlist.
No, users are redirected to the appropriate online store to purchase gifts. Happy Giftlist does not have direct payment integration.
Account & Security
Yes, you can delete your account by visiting the account portal and clicking on settings. There is an option to permanently delete your account at the bottom of the page.
Yes, you can update your name or email in the account portal under settings.
No, there is no option to temporarily deactivate your account.
Yes, you can change your password in the 'Settings' section of your account portal.
Click on 'Forgot your password?' on the login page, and you will be able to reset it.
Privacy & Sharing
No, anyone with access to your wishlist can reserve gifts.
Yes, by marking your wishlist as private, only people with the direct link will be able to access it.
Once confirmed, deleting a wishlist or account is permanent and cannot be undone.
We comply with GDPR, CCPA, and other privacy laws to safeguard user data.
Notifications
You will receive email notifications if you follow a wishlist and the owner adds new gifts. However, no notifications are sent when gifts are reserved or purchased.
Yes, you can disable notifications at any time. Each email includes an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Click it to stop receiving updates. To re-enable notifications later, go to your account settings and check the option to receive emails again.
