Class Secret Santa, with one link for the parents

For the room parent or teacher who organizes the gift swap. Post one link in the parents' group chat, parents sign their child up and add a few wishes, and you draw the names once everyone has signed up.

  • Free, up to 100 people per draw
  • No account needed to join
  • Everyone adds their own wishes

How the sign-up link works

  1. Create the draw with a sign-up link

Name it after the class, set a small budget and choose “Everyone joins with a link”. Leave “I'm taking part too” unchecked if you only organize.

  2. Post the link in the parents' group

Each parent fills in their child's name and their own email address, then adds a few things the child would like. Parents don't need an account.

  3. Set exclusions and draw

Once everyone has signed up, keep twins and siblings apart and click “Draw now”. Each parent gets an email with the classmate their child drew and a link to that child's wishes.

A message for the parents' group chat

Short and friendly, with everything a parent needs to know before signing up. Change it to fit your class.

You get the sign-up link as soon as you create the draw. Fill in the date and the budget, put the link where it says [link], then copy the message.

What parents see when they open the link

Tips for a class draw

Children, parents and the teacher each have a part to play. These tips keep it simple for all of them.

Children without a phone sign up through a parent

The parent opens the link, types the child's name and their own email address. The drawn name goes to the parent, who tells the child at home. That way it stays a surprise in the classroom, because nobody reads a name out loud.

Twins and siblings in the same class

Each email address can sign up once per draw. Sign the second child up with the other parent's address, then add an exclusion for the two so they don't draw each other.

Keep the budget small

A low, fixed amount keeps it fair for every family, and children are just as happy with a good eraser set or a pack of trading cards. Put the amount in the first message so nobody has to ask.

Choose the day with the teacher

Agree on one day for handing out the gifts, ideally the last week before the break. Ask parents to tag each gift with the recipient's name, so the teacher can hand them out quickly. A child who is absent that day gets theirs the next school day.

Not every family joins

Joining is optional, and the sign-up page only shows a count, never names. Only you see who signed up. Talk with the teacher beforehand about how to handle the day for children who are not taking part.

Wishes help younger children most

Ask parents to add two or three wishes with their child. A seven-year-old whose list says “dinosaurs” gets a much better gift than one whose Secret Santa had to guess.

Questions about the class Secret Santa

No. A parent signs the child up with their own email address. The drawn name arrives in the parent's inbox, not on the child's phone.

Each email address can join once per draw. For a second child in the same class, use another address, for example the other parent's.

No. Parents only fill in the form that the link opens. The person who organizes the draw has a free account.

At least 3 and up to 100 per draw, so a whole grade fits in one draw. For several classes that hand out gifts separately, make one draw per class.

Each parent sees only the classmate their child drew. The full list isn't shown anywhere. As the organizer you can look up one child's match on the settings page, for example when a parent lost the email.

Yes. The draw, the sign-up link, the wishes and the emails are all free.
